Dyslexia Screen

If you do not require a full diagnostic assessment, I offer a dyslexia screening service.

This service involves a shorter assessment, verbal feedback and a short report.

Cost:

A dyslexia screen assessment costs £200

Half paid 1 week before the assessment.

The final amount due on the day of the assessment.

Time:

Approximately 1 1/2 hours

Overview:

For a dyslexia screen assessment, a smaller number of tests will be used focusing on some of the key characteristics of dyslexia. For example:

  • Reading

  • Spelling

  • Phonological awareness

  • Processing speed

Alongside this, a test of your child's underlying ability will be performed.


Outcome:

Following the assessments you will receive verbal feedback within 1 week. At this point you have 2 choices,


  1. I can complete the screening process and write a short report outlining your child's strengths and weaknesses and suggested strategies to support them at home and in school.


  1. You may decide that you would like a full diagnostic dyslexia assessment. If you decide to proceed with a full assessment, an additional cost of £250 is required prior to the final assessments. You would then receive a full comprehensive report including details of your child's strengths and weaknesses alongside suggested strategies to support them at home and in school. This report could be used to claim Disabled Student Allowance (DSA), if applicable, or used as evidence for an EHCP application.

N.B// If you decided to go ahead with a full assessment this needs to be arranged and paid for within a 2 month period.
