Overview:
The following bespoke packages are for schools only:
A full diagnostic assessment:
Individual assessments cost £400. However, if a school or group of schools signed a contract for 5 assessments to be completed within a 12 month period (starting at the time of the contract) the price would be £375 per assessment. For 10 assessments it would be £350 per assessment (a saving of £500).
For group bookings a contract would be signed at the start of the 12 month period with the school/schools and 50 % of the overall payment taken. School/s will then be invoiced for the remainder after each individual assessment is completed.
The assessment takes approximately 3 hours per pupil and will provide a holistic view of your pupils' strengths and areas of weakness in a range of skills including:
Reading
Spelling
Maths
Phonics
Memory
Speed of processing
Visual and verbal ability.
Handwriting
Using all this information, a detailed report will be provided including recommendations for school and home to ensure children are able to achieve their full potential. You will receive this report with 3 weeks of the assessment.
This report could be used to claim Disabled Student Allowance (DSA), if applicable, and be used as evidence for an EHCP application if your pupil meets the criteria.
A dyslexia screen:
Individual screening costs £200 and is a lot more reliable than a computer programme. However, if a school or group of schools signed a contract for 5 dyslexia screenings to be completed within a 12 month period (starting at the time of the contract), the price would be £175 per screen. For 10 dyslexia screenings it would be £150 per screening (a saving of £500).
For group bookings a contract would be signed at the start of the 12 month period with the school/schools and 50 % of the overall payment taken. School/s will then be invoiced for the remainder after each individual assessment is completed.
For a dyslexia screening a smaller number of tests will be administered focusing on some of the key characteristics of dyslexia. For example:
Reading
Spelling
Phonological awareness
Processing speed
Alongside this a test of the pupil’s underlying ability will be given. These assessments take approximately 1 ½ hours. Following the assessments you will receive verbal feedback within 1 week. At this point you will have 2 choices,
1. I can complete the screening process and write a short report outlining the pupil’s strengths and areas of weakness and suggested strategies to support them at home and in school.
2. You may decide that you would like a full diagnostic dyslexia assessment on some or all of the pupil’s. If you decide to proceed with a full assessment an additional cost of £250 is required prior to the final assessments for individual assessments (for groups of 5 the cost is reduced to £225 and for groups of 10, £200). You would then receive a full comprehensive report including details of the children's strengths and areas of weakness alongside suggested strategies to support them at home and in school. This report could be used to claim Disabled Student Allowance (DSA), if applicable, or be used as evidence for an EHCP application. For this option I would need to come back into school and complete further assessments with the pupil/s
Access arrangement testing (applicable for secondary schools):
For groups of less than 10 pupils the fee is £75 per pupil Form 8 part C will be completed and returned to school within 7 working days.
For groups of 10 the fee is £495 (saving £25.50 per pupil on the individual price). Form 8 part C will be completed and returned to school within 7 working days.
The testing used will vary for each individual pupil or school needs. For larger groups of students a group test at the start of the school day may be applicable and then individual 1:1 testing.
